This course is carried out over 1.5 Days:

  • Day One: Half Day from 1pm - 5pm (follows Greenhouse Gas Reporting and your Management System - Part 1 half-day training from 9am - 12 midday)
  • Day Two: Full Day from 9am - 5pm

Important: GHG Reporting and your Management System - Part 1 (0.5 Day) is a prerequisite for GHG Reporting and your Management System Part 2 (1.5 day).

Lunch will be provided when you undertake both Part 1 and Part 2 across the full 2 days. SAI Global will not provide lunch on the first day of Part 2 if undertaken separately from Part 1.

  • The 5 greenhouse gas accounting principles
  • Assigning roles & responsibilities for GHG management
  • Developing the necessary documentation, data and records

Developing a greenhouse gas strategy
  • Identifying opportunities for reduction
  • Using the hierarchy of control to reduce & offset emissions
  • Applying decision tools to prioritise management action
  • Greenhouse gas objectives, target type, target level & base year
  • Developing a Greenhouse Gas Management plan

Reporting & Verification

 International Scope

ISO 14064.1 and the WBCSD/WRI Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard are used as the basis for this workshop. It also covers Australia Federal and State legislation.

Suzanne Orme
Suzanne has a strong business improvement background across a broad spectrum of industries and is a RABQSA certified Principal Environmental Auditor. Prior to founding Enviroease in 2002, she worked for the Institute of Sustainable Futures at UTS Sydney as a research assistant. In addition to her knowledge of environmental legislation, management planning, auditing, reporting and risk assessment, Suzanne has a keen interest in climate change related issues and particular expertise in Greenhouse Gas accounting and reporting. She is a member of the GHG Institute and Environment Business Australia (EBA).
